My Daughter's Special Day

My 12 year old daughter, Harlee, has Asperger's Syndrome, but is mainstreaming in school in 7th grade, and is "making the grade" in more ways than one!  This is her first public performance, at her school's Talent Show (fortunately for all involved, not a contest).  She sings "That's What You Get" by Paramore.

The REAL First Step...

   Almost exactly 3 years ago, I created a Blogger account and submitted my first post, entitled "The First Step...".  Although I chose to follow a few blogs that I had found, I never came back to describe the "Second Step".  Well, in this case, I believe that the second step in MY particular evolution as a person and, now, an advocate as well is the REAL First Step - and here goes.
   I will talk about all sorts of things, some of which many of You will disagree with, but also many that You won't be able to help considering and perhaps agreeing with.  I will always try to be factual, honest, and, most of all, opinionated.  So, after a brief pause, I will now REALLY begin The Journey...
